Forever loved

Christian faith is not about a religion or a set of right doctrinal statement or of any particular movement or emphasis. Most foundationally a relationship with God in love, because of the abounding immeasurable unimaginable love with which God loved us through Christ to bring us back to Him. Being our righteousness and atonement on the Cross vicariously, Christ Jesus our Lord has loved, desired and chosen us for a greater love and glorious purposes of God.

We are forever loved, but it’s up to us to stay within the precincts of His love and care, choosing to live a surrendered and crucified life in Christ. Human parents are elated and rejoice exceeding when their wandering children return to their love and care. How much more our Father in heaven who has made a return path through forgiveness offered to us through our Lord’s life and death. Freely forgiven as we repent(turn back to God) and lovingly accepted, zealously protected and fondly cared for to live with God eternally.

The story of Hosea is one where God affirms His great love for His people. Asked to marry a harlot who wanders away in her same inclination to be another man’s, God asks prophet Hosea to buy his unfaithful wife back as an indicator of God’s love for unfaithful Israel.

God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ with open arms of heart-wrenching love so loves us and asks His church, every member of the body, to hopefully return from wandering away from God’s love to their own ways or to this world. Like Hosea, we are to be instruments in the hand of our Redeemer, to call back and help the wandering child of God back into the faith, with full assurance of God’s acceptance and continued care through His forgiveness.

Never let the accuser so lead us or any wanderer to despair saying there’s no more hope. Our Lord is one who leaves the ninety-nine healthy sheep to look for a single lost sheep. As co-workers with God, let’s have the same fatherheart to restore the broken and the fallen through the continuous provision of the Lamb of God. By intercession and intervention, let us be restorers of lives in the great love of God. Satan roams around like a roaring lion to devour a soul, especially in his or her suffering, by a barrage of lies. He tempts, traps and then accuses. Let’s not be ignorant of His devices. Let’s prayerfully keep our families, friends and fellow believers in the love of God. Never to be tools to judge and accuse erring brethren but like our Lord Jesus prayed in advance for Peter’s restoration seeing his vulnerability, hidden to himself in His zeal. Peter’s story is the truth about every child of God in some area or the other that the devil seeks to target. Let’s be our brother’s keeper in praying for one another and quick to love and restore wounded lives in the love of God, and never reject them or cast them away. The Lord heals the brokenhearted.

Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people, and will have mercy on His afflicted. But Zion said, “The Lord has forsaken me, And my Lord has forgotten me.” “Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.”
Isaiah 49:13‭-‬16

Hallelujah!

Heaven waits with much patient endurance for the erring, the backslider, and the lost, to return to God’s redeeming love. Heaven makes merry as God says, “This my son(or daughter) was lost(dead) but is now found(alive).

May we resort continually at the throne of grace and mercy, and let us call in every one there and be keepers of one another in the unfailing and unending love of God, in a world that’s pressing in from all sides upon the church, the people of God, seeking to devour and spoil our witness.

Glory be to our God, who has loved us with an everlasting love through our Lord Jesus Christ our bridegroom who gave Himself for us to redeem us and present us faultless to Himself. God, Himself makes paths in and through the Holy Spirit and the church, and His sovereignty, for the return of His people to Himself and His things which alone truly matter.

You are forever truly loved.
