THE BEST WAYS TO BE KIND

So in addition to the acts of kindness ideas, I want to go more in depth with a few of the favorite ones that have been shared with us. Some may be incredible, others the direct effect incredible, some may seem small but at that moment meant something to me. So without further ado….

Probably within the first 3–4 weeks my current favorite was shared with us.

There are few things greater than seeing a child’s face light up with excitement from something. And though I’ve never been a witness, I bet seeing that same joy on an ailing child’s face is even better. That is why when someone shared a card with us, they had sent to an ill child that was hospitalized, it hit me so hard.

Majority of us take so many things for granted, health is one of them. Having my health as a child growing up? Never even thought about how lucky that made me. That’s why the very next week after I saw this post I had to do the same thing.

Did some research and found Card for Hospitalized Children (name explains what they are about) I was able to use my Picasso art skills to construct a few nice cards and mailed them on over.

I of course didn’t get to see the reaction of the recipients, of my cards, but it still was an amazing feeling just sending them.

I highly recommend everyone do something similar. This is something that is so inexpensive and doesn’t need to take more than 5–10 minutes. No kid should ever have to grow up fighting for their health, or even their life. The least we can all do is send them a little bit of encouragement and inspiration
