Let Her Go

I am the slave of her beautiful eyes,
She is the rain to my drought, spreading life.
She wears innocence, with the crown of a smile,
She is unbothered like the ocean flows
But I am stupid to let her go.

I am the kohl of her eyes that smudges if she cries.
She is the petrichor after rain,
She indurates me to conquer pain.
I have never seen her lost in the crowd,
Even her silence speaks to me loud.

Sitting lonely in my room,
Wandering of the hatred that groom,
Maybe it’s her touch that’ll heal me soon.
Talking to her in the night, under the dim sky,
Trying to escape and make her fly,
But we always ended up crying.

Looking for the lights on the darkest road,
Looking for the will to knock on her door,
Somewhere yearning to hold her close,
Being so selfish to love her more.
But I let her go.
